Fortex Group's Digital Music NY Preview Event for SXSW

 DSC00797Tuesday March 8th was our first Digital Music NY networking event in 2011. We were at a new space in Midtown East, El Rio Grande, discussing the exciting new ways music is going social. Three awesome companies, Qoof, Rockethub, and FanBridge gave short presentations about how their companies are providing artists with new ways to take their music social.

Kantar Video Releases Study on the Online Value of Super Bowl Ads

The Fortex Group and WPP's Kantar Video worked to create and release a comprehensive study on the viewership and social activity of Super Bowl ads online. The study ranks the 60+ Super Bowl ads by media effectiveness.  The study, which leverages the Videolytics BETA platform and Kantar Video's multi-media researchers, found that in the 3 days after the Super Bowl aired, the top 10 ads have earned a total of over $1 million in media impressions through online video. Volkswagen’s “The Force” campaign topped the list, earning the brand $538,000 in media.    You can read the full release here and view the index results here or after the jump.

MXP4 at Midem Discusses Social Music Games and Pump It!'s Success

MXP4 recently announced that their first social music game, Pump It!, has exceened the 1 million active user mark with major artists like David Guetta and Cheryl Cole signing on.   The Inside Facebook new site said that "Pump It offers much more intimate engagement with a song than traditional streaming or downloading....other promotions which aren’t interactive don’t always make a strong enough impression for users to want to buy a song or hear it again" whileTechrunch pointed out that "it’s becoming more and more obvious that MXP4 is actively going after the social music gaming space."   You can try the Cheryl Cole version here and read the original news release here.  Watch videos from Midem including interviews with David Guetta after the jump.

Eyeka Engages The Fortex Group to Launch the Co-Creation Community in North America

eyeka Eyeka recently engaged The Fortex Group's media and marketing group to build awareness of co-creation and drive business development through industry networkign programs.  The program will focus not only on communications, but on bringing together companies and executives within the co-creation ecosystem to creat new business opportunities.
