In India, President Bush provides a good example of how not to sell a business (or, in this case, economic) issue when he talked about how although outsourcing may be painful cause job losses, but it's a net economic benefit that fearmongers shouldn't destroy. And this just two days after the Association for Computing Machinery releases a well publicized study showing how there are more IT jobs in the US now than during the last economic boom (which was prior to the outsourcing boom). Why isn't he simply saying that closer trade ties have resulted in more IT jobs than ever in the US? He can address the pain of individuals that have lost their jobs and had to find new ones (and that is a very real issue), while repeatedly pointing out that overall more Americans have more IT jobs than every before. And this study even used government data (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
