Think Press Release Quotes are Ignored? The Wall Street Journal says otherwise

The executive quote in the press release is often the most ignored part and the one considered an internal political throwaway to make executives happy. However, sometimes even national business media make use of them
Yesterday’s Wall Street Journal Online had a news item about a new Samsung/Cingular phone - BlackJack Is BlackBerry’s Newest Rival. Right in the middle of the article it reads “‘We have hit on the right formula in developing a handheld device that will appeal both to the most discerning business users and the most entertainment savvy consumers,’ said Cingular CEO Stan Sigman in a press release.”
